Our Conclusion for Horizon Fitness E52

It’s no Precore, but considering the price, Horizon Fitness E52 Programmable Elliptical Trainer is probably one of the best values out there. Horizon E52 has got the features that really matter (quiet, smooth operation, 20 resistance levels, heart-rate monitor, calorie counter, etc.) and none of the gimmicks (like a fan or speakers). It takes about an hour to assemble, and it is built to perform well. If you’re looking for an elliptical in the under $600 range, you can’t go wrong with the Horizon Fitness E52 Programmable Elliptical Trainer.

Horizon E52 Has Been Discontinued | Our Recommendations

The Horizon Fitness E52 is an old model and recently has been DISCONTINUED. Instead of E52 we recommend two other best-performing models EX-59 and EX-69 from Horizon Fitness. Look at the comparison table above to see the differences.

  1. Horizon EX-59. EX-59 is slightly cheaper than E52, but overall offers very similar performance. Check out our Horizon Fitness EX-59 Review.
  2. Horizon EX-69. Costs about $200 more, but offers significantly better performance and it is our top pick, so it is you best choice if you can afford it. It’s excellent value, especially because it offers heavier flywheel that adds to elliptical stability, 20″ stride length that is better suitable for taller people and on top of that it comes with 5 incline positions to make your workout more fun and challenging – this feature usually is offered only by far more expensive ellipticals. Check out our Horizon Fitness EX-69 Review.
